”The Last Serb in Croatia” is an ingenious comedy, showing what it would look like if Serbs, Croats, and zombies had to live together. Although the title itself seems provocative, this is a brilliant satire that perfectly describes the Balkan mentality and twists stereotypes and taboos upside down. Croatia, seven years after bankruptcy. There is a fight going on in the world – water has become more precious than oil. In order to get hold of it, the powerful people are ready to start wars, conquer, destroy, and even plant a zombie-virus. Mica, a very rich guy from Zagreb, whose daily routine includes massage parlors, restaurants and cinemas, where he watches a movie series featuring his favorite actress Franka Anic, is caught completely off guard by the zombie-epidemics. Nevertheless, he boldly embarks on a fight with zombies accompanied by his movie heroine, with one utterly unattainable goal: to survive!
